Rev. Eddie Willis

Director

Director Rev. Eddie Willis, an Ole Miss Wesley alumnus, returned to his hometown of Oxford in the summer of 2010 and began as the campus minister. He uses Word and worship to engage students and the community into a deeper understanding of Christ in their lives. With a Masters in Divinity, over twenty years of work in ministry, Eddie has served as a Deacon in the United Methodist Church, but now in the capacity of Licensed Local Pastor with Taylor United Methodist.  He desires to see college young adults enter into a deeper relationship with Christ.

Eddie and his wife, Allyson, have 4 children and have been at the UM Wesley since 2010. 

 
 

Hannah Smith

STUDENT INTERN

Hannah Smith is our student intern for 2023-24! She is a Senior at Ole Miss studying Dietetics and Nutrition while actively discerning a call to vocational ministry. She’s passionate about teaching, mentorship, and outreach to the students of Ole Miss that embodies Christian love and hospitality. Hannah comes to us from Eupora, Mississippi!

 
 
 
 

Bam Bruckman

Student Intern

Bam brings excitement for outreach and diving into the scriptures for spiritual growth. He especially enjoys challenging others to a deeper sense of discipleship. He will be focusing on our “Man Cave” Bible study, along with other outreach activities. He will be bringing his experience with FCA and as of late, participating in the college ministry at Senatobia UMC while a student at North West. Bam is a native of Hernando, MS.

MINISTRY SUMMARY:

The Ole Miss Wesley Foundation at the University of Mississippi is seeking an outgoing, creative, and innovative leader who can help grow the ministry alongside the Director.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Have a passion for evangelizing to college students.

  • Have an outgoing personality and the ability to meet with individuals and groups of various sizes.

  • Effective relationship-building skills.

  • Professional and courteous demeanor.

EDUCATION:

  • A bachelor’s degree and student participation in a campus ministry is required.

  • A seminary graduate degree is desired. (If currently enrolled in seminary, or wishing to attend while employed, a cap on hours will be set by the Board of Directors & Director in conjunction with the applicant.)

  • Post-college leadership experience in a campus ministry is preferred. (Experience with a Wesley Foundation is desired, but not required.)
